Wuestenberg has written a fine book on the political character of God's reconciliation of the world to himself in Jesus Christ. I say fine because Wiistenberg recognizes that the biblical account of reconciliation is anything but docetic: reconciliation creates space for itself in the world, rendering the world (the penultimate) ever more transparent to itself (the ultimate).
