GENERAL CONCEPTS ON PRICE CONTROL (April 1937)

Price control in Italy had its first legislative endorsement with the Law Decree issued on 5 October 1936-XIV, nr. 1746. However, contrary to what might be assumed, this law did not have the effect of creating something substantially new. Rather, it embodied a profound renewal of an institute that had already been under study for some time and had in fact been applied, an institute which conceptually belongs to every system of corporative economy and, more generally, to any «controlled economy» system.
