摘要

This article presents a thorough investigation of the effect of line reclosing on transient stability assessment (TSA) for single- machine-infinite-bus power systems. The critical clearing time is selected as the key parameter to estimate the TSA. Numerical studies are presented for cases where line reclosing can lead to system instability. Furthermore, optimum reclosing determination is presented. Explanations for the results are presented using numerical stability regions and transient energy function method.
