摘要

The operating experience data for 34 motors running for approximately 15 years in paper plants are collected. According to the data set, the reliability and availability characteristics of a high-voltage synchronous motor are analyzed based on the Markov Model. The unit or subsystem main rotor with windings in the motor system is more important for the motor system's availability, though its failure rate is lower compared to other units. Preventive maintenance is first introduced as a state in the markov Model for the motor system.
