This paper presents dynamic modelling and simulation of voltage source induction motor drives assisted by Pspice. From the qd dy - namic model of the electrical and mechanical modes, Pspice equiva - lent circuits are designed and implemented for each harmonic voltage component. Closed form qd voltage equations are derived in case of a six-step inverter. The proposed Pspice net - list and schematics - structured approach allows easy adding or deleting of harmonic con - tribution to the drive motor dynamics. A variety of transient be - havior cases such as motor starting, frequency and voltage pertur - bations are investigated. Salient results are presented and analyzed.
