摘要

The paper focuses to identify various critical success factors that could influence the implementation of newly proposed manufacturing system i.e., humanised flexible manufacturing system (HFMS), and develop a framework to manage them. Interpretive structural modelling (ISM) is used to depict the relationship and priority among the various critical success factors (CSFs). This research provides a framework for managers and indicates the dominant CSFs on the basis of higher driving power to enable the successful implementation of HFMS. The dependent, independent, autonomous and linkage CSFs have been found using MIMAC analysis. The drive power and dependence power for CSFs has been evaluated. The proposed hierarchal model would help the manufacturing industries to effectively implement newly proposed manufacturing system, i.e., HFMS and develop suitable strategies according to the CSFs driving power and dependence power. This would encourage more number of firms to transit from traditional manufacturing system to HFMS with easiness.
