Proposals sought for San Vicente pumped-storage project

The San Diego County Water Authority issued in mid-July a Request for Proposals for a potential joint pumped-storage hydropower project with the City of San Diego that could reduce upward pressure on water rates and also increase opportunities for renewable energy penetration throughout the region by leveraging existing infrastructure at the San Vicente reservoir.
