AFESD funds Mohammed V multipurpose dam raising project

The Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) has agreed to provide 2.27 billion Dirhams (US$ 237 million) for two development projects in Morocco, including the heightening of the Mohammed V multipurpose dam. Financing agreements were signed on 19 June by Mohamed Ben-chaaboun, Morocco's Minister of Economy and Finance, and Abdul-latif Yusuf Al-Hamad, Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait-based, pan-Arab development institution, AFESD.
