Dear Editor:rnRecently, in the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy appeared the paper entitled "Selective atomic hydrogen heating in plasmas: Implications for quantum theory" by Jonathan Phillips, Int. J. Hydrogen Energy, vol. 34, pp. 9816-9823, 2009. In this paper our work was cited under ref. 20. This looks like a normal procedure, but the author reproduced Fig.4 [20] as Fig. 1 (almost whole right hand column), without an acknowledgment or copyright permission from the publisher.rnSecond problem: in the last paragraph of the first column, the author claims that our experiment [20] was performed in "capacitively coupled RF discharge", which is not true. This experiment was performed in a direct current discharge of the Grimm type. This is a proof that the author did not read the paper, which was misinterpreted and criticized.
