Investigation of ionic liquid composite electrolyte for lithium-oxygen battery

摘要

In this study, we synthesized a novel ionic liquid composite electrolyte, and successfully used it in the lithium-oxygen battery. The composite electrolyte consisted of lithium salt, hydrophobic ionic liquid, and spiro cyclic quaternary ammonium salt. The electrochemical performance of the electrolyte was examined using the cyclic voltammetry, the Tafel curves and the constant current discharging tests, respectively. According to the results, the lithium-oxygen battery showed a good capacity and rechargeability. It indicates that the ionic liquid composite electrolyte can be expected to be more suitable electrolyte for the lithium-oxygen battery.
