摘要

We thank Dr. Qihai Chang for his comments on the manu-script: 'Experimental and Numerical Investigate on Solar Concentrating Characteristics of a Sixteen-dish Concen-trator'. Our responses to the comments are listed as follows. First, the sixteen-dish concentrator presented consists of identical sixteen small dishes, which will be arranged in confocal from concentrated sunlight transfer point of view. However, for reasons of manufacture, configuration and installation, the sixteen-dish concentrator is not strictly confocal arrangement. The parameter L_(cp) is the distance from the center of a small dish to the focal point of the sixteen-dish concentrator the L_(CP) for the dishes 1-5, 6-11, and 12-16 are equal to 3.255 m, 3.288 m, and 3.314 m, respectively. We can find that the difference between sixteen dishes is quite small, the influences of which on the concentrating solar radiation distributions may be neglected.
