摘要

This issue marks two transitions: a change in editor and a change in publisher of the Journal. The previous issue was the last under the Editorship of Roger Cline. Having taken over the job for five years, it became his role for nearly ten. Roger is now free to spend time on his many other interests spelled out in a valedictory interview with Deborah Jaffe in Newcomen Links (June 2015) Self-effacingly Roger wrote: "I am very grateful to all the contributors whose writings I have adapted to the Newcomen house style. Recalling my former career drafting patent specifications, I often wonder whether 'Thank you for your meticulous editing' is short-hand for 'What a nit-picker you are'!"
