摘要

This paper presents a comprehensive exergy analysis on a large scale 12,900kW PEM electrolyser at various operating temperatures and pressures. Calculations of physical exergy, mass flow rates and exergetic efficiency are performed at temperatures (T/T_o) and pressures (P/P_o) ranging from 1 to 1.4 and 1 to 10, respectively. The results showed that at 1 atm (P/P_o = 1), the exergetic efficiency of an electrolyser decreases from 84% at 298 K (T/T_o = 1) to 62% at 417 K (T/T_o = 1.4).
