Scientific session 'Biodiversity and Anthropic Impact in the Black Sea and in the Littoral Ecosystems of the Black Sea', Agigea, Constantza, Romania, 21-22 October 2006

This conference was dedicated to a review of the 30 years of achievements of the Marine Biological Station 'Prof. Dr loan Borcea' (MBS) Agigea. There were about 80 participants. Prof. Gheorghe Mustata from the University 'Alexandria loan Cuza' of Iassy, Faculty of Biology, Director of MBS, recalled the outstanding personality of the founder I. Borcea and the most relevant developmental stages of MBS to date. He unveiled a memorial plaque reading 'Statiunea Biologica Marina "Prof. dr. loan Borcea", 80 de ani de la infiintare, 20-21 octombrie 2006', and a bust of Prof. Constantin Motas (1891-1980).
