This volume is a timely and well-rounded contribution to the literature on the role of entrepreneurship in regional economic development. It should not be confused with several other publications with similar titles and entrances to this field and the editors offer a strong rationale for considering this book for purchase. In particular, they establish the foundations of the collection in their introductory discussion of endogenous growth theory. The argument is made that, under this change, there is a new recognition that the entrepreneur has a role as an agent driving technical change at the regional level. There is a well-rounded selection of chapters, with both theoretical and methodological issues which address this specific role of the entrepreneur in regional growth dynamics.
