摘要

Fine dust particles coming from wood machinery are classically removed by a two stage air treatment: a cyclone followed by a medium filter. This system is efficient but energy consumption is great; another way could be an electrostatic filtration stage. The work we propose here consist to prove the feasibility of this way, even the difficulty to carry the finest wood particles versus the collecting electrode due to their low density which favor their air reentrainment. With a classical wire cylinder electrostatic precipitator we measure wood dust particles capture under various operating conditions. We specially study the electrical potential, the particle size, the particle nature and the electrode size.
