摘要

Nanaofluids belongs to the innovative class of heat transfer fluids and attracts a lot attention for its use as a direct absorbing fluid. It have been cultivated experimentally and numerically and found to be capable technique for harvesting the solar thermal energy. In this paper, an analytical expression of fluid temperature has been derived for passive double slope solar still (DSSS). Analysis have been carried out for optimized fluid (BF/NF) mass of 35 kg and three different concentrations (0.04%, 0.08%, and 0.12%) of Al_2O_3 and TiO_2 nanoparticles on the basis of developed model. Natural convective and other internal heat transfer coefficients of DSSS have been obtained for Al_2O_3 and TiO_2-water based nanofluids in comparison to base fluid. Higher natural convective (Al_2O_3 63.2%; TiO_2 30.3%) and evaporative (Al_2O_3 59.6%; TiO_2 19.1%) HTC has been obtained for nanofluids.
