Lawful Interception and Monitoring using ATCA architecture in NGN

The first successful long distance public message was sent by Samuel Morse on a 61 km telegraphic line and this simple act has led to huge advancement in telecommunication field. With the increase in number of users using circuit switched and packet switched networks, fraudulent calls and data usage is also increasing proportionally. To avoid this false usage of the advanced network, interception is done. All the international long distance calls go through ILD MGW. In the traditional telephone networks, implementation of LIM was easy due to provision of centralized networks but with the increase in the IP users this task became stale. This paper describes the LIM deployment at the ATCA MGC and its various advantages.
