摘要

A unified approach for voltage regulator and power system stabiliser design based on predictive control in the s domain is presented in this paper. The proposed controller employs the current and voltage components along the d and q axis, I_d, I_q, V_d, as additional control signals. The aim is to solve the conflicting demands of the control requirements of generator terminal voltage regulation and damping of electrical power oscillations. In the time domain, the results obtained have shown that the analogue predictive controller with fixed structure and parameters provides, unlike the conventional excitation control scheme (voltage regulator and power system stabiliser), a good consistent performance for cases of strong, as well as weak, tie line connection of the generator with the grid system.
