摘要

The objective of this article is to illustrate the applicability of the nonunifrom transmission line as a modeling tool in electromagnetic transient studies of power systems. First, the s-domain method, that was developed previously by the authors for lossless single-phase nonuniform transmission lines, was generalized to include lossy untransposed three- phase lines with frequency-dependent parameters. Second, the new generalized version of the s-domain method was used to obtain the transients on an actual transition segment between an overhead line and an underground cable.
