Study on Emission Characteristics of 4 Stroke Petrol Engine Fueled with Biogas/L.P.G. Blends

摘要

This paper deals with the study on emission characteristics of 4-stroke petrol engine fueled with Bio gas/L.P.G blends. The various blends of L.P.G and Biogas are used and conducted the tests on 4-stroke, single cylinder, air cooled SI engine. The performance analysis was made on specific fuel consumption, Brake thermal efficiency and Mechanical efficiency. Emission characteristics was made on carbon monoxide (co) and Nitrogen oxides (NOx).The experimental results were analyzed for the selection of better blend of L.P.G and Biogas suitable for SI engine for better performance with reduced pollution.
