摘要

With the explosive growth of Internet applications, e-mail has become a popular medium for various types of data transmission. To ensure the confidentiality of an e-mail, many secure e-mail protocols have been proposed in recent years. In 2005, Sun et al. proposed an e-mail protocol that claimed to have perfect forward secrecy. However, Dent pointed out some flaws of this protocol. According to Dent's comments, Kim et al. proposed two e-mail protocols to overcome these weaknesses. In this article, we propose an efficient and secure e-mail protocol that provides perfect forward secrecy. Our protocol is more suitable for mobile devices which have limited battery energy.
