摘要

Grain growth kinetics of the glass-ceramics produced from fly ash of Seyitomer power plant in Turkey has been investigated. In this process, fly ash was melted and casted as glass. Produced glass materials were heat treated at 1073, 1123, and 1173K for 30-240 min in order to produce glass-ceramic. The phases formed in the glass-ceramics were diopsite and augite. Grain growth activation energy of the glass-ceramic was 320 kJ/mol. Grain growth exponents (n) of the glass-ceramics were changing between 3.322 and 5.076 depending on treatment time and temperature.
