Adhesion mechanisms of pressure sensitive adhesives

摘要

The superior stability of adhesively bonded joints with pressure sensitive adhesives (especially the acrylic PSAs) against ageing and water attack cannot be explained solely by physical bonds which are formed between the adhesive and the substrate. In this paper a model of dynamic adhesion is presented, which allows a better understanding of the performance of pressure sensitive adhesives.
