摘要

Organizational wellness programs are popular among employers, as when they are properly utilized they create positive effects through a healthy workforce, which impacts a firm's bottom line. However, when employees' interest lacks the desired enthusiasm and commitment to actively participate in available programs, the firm's health promotion initiative is ineffective. This study examines the number of individuals affected by chronic conditions and diseases through reviewing the data of reported cases in the southeastern US. The results indicate an increased need for employers to reexamine their promotional efforts and communication effectiveness as it relates to their success in motivating employees' willingness to alter their unhealthy lifestyles.
