摘要

No doubt the glass industry is constantly looking for production flexibility even though it cannot afford any increase in costs. This implies on the one hand, the optimisation of forming processes and the thermal efficiency of the production process and on the other hand, the constant improvement of refractory materials performance and the reduction of the batch costs. One has to make a virtue of necessity. It is a difficult and serious challenge, but in the end it might give our sector unexpected gratifications.
