Spain imported 26,691 GWh of liquefied nautural gas in September, 12.5% above year ago levels, state owned Enagas said October 13.rnThe company said Spain's LNG imports in the first nine months of the year were 245,883 GWh, up 2,1% over the 203,342 GWh the country imported dining the same period of 2007.rnMuch of the growth in imports was fueled by increased use of natural gas by generators. Enagas said the country used 16,490 GWh of gas to generate electricity, 37% more than the 12,054 GWh used in September 2007.
