China starts small-scale liquefaction plants

China has developed mini-liquefaction plants to solve transport difficulties in areas too remote for pipelines to be economic. It has just brought on stream two new liquefaction plants, one in Erdos, Inner Mongolia, and on in Guangdong's Zhuhai city, said the deputy-president of Chemtex (China) Engineering Co, Weibin Li.rnUS-based Chemtex is the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for both the Erdos and Zhuhai projects, which are based on the patented PRICO technology by US firm Black & Veatch.
