Israel eyes oil tax rate at 32%

A report by Israel's Knesset puts the effective tax and royalty rate from natural gas and oil production at 32%. The finance minister and upstream companies had, a few weeks earlier, decided it should be 40%. The study found a major discrepancy between the payments in Israel and those elsewhere. The average rate in Western countries was 53%.
