IEA sees chance of weakening oil indexation

The duration of the global gas glut now affecting the markets is unclear, the International Energy Agency said on June 23 in its new oil and gas markets report. The agency said that it was "hard to see" tight supplies in the Atlantic Basin and "in particular" in Europe before 2015, despite the rapid decline of European domestic production. But the situation was "less clear" in Asia and in the Pacific.
