Real estate investment firm DRA Advisors has agreed to sell auto financier capital automotive to Brookfield Property Partners for US$4.283bn. The purchase price includes the assumption of all existing debt, as well as debt facilities of US$400m to fund the transaction. Capital Automotive will launch the new debt facilities after Labor Day on September 1, and will also seek approval from existing lenders to allow a change of control. Capital Automotive intends to issue US$300m of asset-backed securities and US$100m of new loans under its second-lien credit facility.
