A real estate investment company part owned by national bank of greece and invel real estate has put securitisation technology to use to provide some medium-term funding for the group. The privately placed, unrated pangaea funding 1 closed on August 22 through Cairn Capital, backed by rental payments on 77 properties predominantly let to National Bank of Greece. Greek banks have taken tentative steps back into the bond market in recent months, the last being Eurobank with a €500m trade in June, but in unsecured format.
