Xior student housinG is planning to list its shares in Brussels as a REIT, making it the first listed investment trust for that sector in continental Europe. The company hopes to replicate the success of Unite, GCP Student Living and Empiric Student Property, which have performed well for investors since listing in London. The company intends to raise €88m from a placing of new shares at €25 per share, alongside a contribution of €28m from founder Aloxe. The company also intends to refinance existing debt of around €81m to pay for its initial property portfolio, valued at €196m. The free-float on admission will be around 77%. Pre-marketing started on Thursday and a trading debut is expected at the beginning of December.
