Asurion blocks thousands from loan

Technology insurance company Asurion has issued an exhaustive 59-page blacklist document that bars 5,681 entities from joining its US$2.73bn leveraged loan. The move is a bid to stop sensitive private information from falling into the hands of rivals. Disqualified companies include high profile tech and retail names including Apple, Visa, Amazon, Sony, Sears and eBay. The list includes companies based in Finland, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, England, Brazil and the US, with their operations ranging from sensor technology to appliance manufacture.
