Rates traders move across the Street

A handful of rates derivatives traders have made moves to other banks or into the buyside in recent months. Some say the movement in general was sparked by the firing of two inflation traders at citigroup in March. Richard Volpe has left his post as global co-head of US dollar rates trading at the Royal Bank of Scotland to join nomura in the same capacity. Alan Mittleman, head of global dollar rates trading at Societe Generale, has been tapped to replace him at rbs, according to market sources. Mittleman is on garden leave and will join in August.
