Several SSA issuers are girding their loins for a potential window for primary issuance this week, should there be a positive result from talks between Greece and its creditors over the weekend. Most of the focus will be on the US dollar market, which is relatively - though not entirely - insulated from some of the extreme volatility seen in Europe, though some issuers are also looking at euros and sterling, bankers said. "I think a lot of issuers are keeping an eye on the market, and if there's a positive announcement from Greece, you could see a quite a few announcements," said one SSA syndicate official.
