Kazkommertsbank gave investors more time to agree to favourable terms on the consent solicitation of its US$750m 5.5% 2022 bonds, extending the early-bird deadline by a week. The new early deadline for the consent solicitation ran until 15:00 BST on Tuesday, the same date and time that the process was closed. It was initially slated to expire on May 19. All investors that responded to the consent solicitation received US$2.50 for every US$1,000 held. Kazkommertsbank is seeking to amend the terms of the bonds so it can replace compatriot bank BTA as the borrower on a US$1.6bn 4% 2024 loan made by Kazakhstan's sovereign wealth fund Samruk-Kazyna.
