Bommensath to leave Barclays after 17 years

Eric Bommensath has resigned from his position as head of barclays' non-core division after just nine months in the job, and less than a year after losing control of the investment bank to his co-head Tom King. His departure brings to an end a 17-year stint at the firm that included a number of senior roles within the firm's trading division. Bommensath will leave at the end of January, said chief executive Antony Jenkins in an internal memo to staff seen by IFR.
