Institutional investors traded US$11.8bn of investment-grade and high-yield US corporate bonds through Tradeweb's electronic platform in November, up 371% from the same month last year. The data, announced on Monday, reflect an uptick from existing clients making more use of the protocols as they become more efficient, the company told IFR. "It's very much an increase in usage from a large portion of our clients," said Chris Bruner, head of US credit products at Tradeweb. "The growth in the last 12 months is really them using it a lot more."
