Disappointing earnings across China's four major state-owned banks for the third quarter have shown the strain from rising bad loans and lower net interest margins. Industrial and commercial bank of china showed a net profit fall of 0.2% to Rmb72.6bn (US$10.75bn) and results from bank of china and bank of communications also came in flat.
