The European Investment Bank picked up €480m of iccrea banca lease-backed paper last Wednesday. Iccrea priced a €1.4bn Italian lease ABS named Iccrea sme cart 2016 srl on Wednesday. The EIB bought the €480m 3.8-year A2 tranche at 85bp over three-month Euribor. This tranche was rated Aa2 by Moody's and AAA by DBRS. All other tranches were retained. The deal's pool consists of leases from Iccrea to SMEs and corporates located in Italy, according to a Moody's pre-sale report. The underlying assets of the lease contracts are vehicles, industrial vehicles, equipment and real estate.
