Helios Towers Drc (HTD), the local subsidiary of Helios Towers Africa (HTA), has completed a US$105m syndicated term loan. The deal was arranged by Standard Bank of South Africa as initial mandated lead arranger and the German development finance institution DEG (Deutsche Investitions und Entwicklungsgesellschaft) as DFI arranger. The facility will partly finance the acquisition of Bharti Airtel's tower portfolio and also fund HTD's organic growth and operations across the country. HTD's portfolio in DR Congo includes 1,800 towers.
