Talent agency WME-IMG has received debt commitments from five lenders to finance its US$4bn acquisition of mixed martial arts franchise Ultimate Fighting Championship. Barclays, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and KKR Capital Markets are providing the commitments and advised the buyers. The acquisition, which has one of the largest price tags ever for a sports brand, is also backed by private equity firms Silver Lake Partners and KKR, as well as investment firms owned by billionaire Michael Dell and his family.
