Brexit vote helps trading revenues

JP Morgan and Citigroup were able to erase the impact of a sour first quarter in fixed income, commodity and currency trading with outperformance in the second quarter. Both banks were among the holdouts slow to trim back FICC groups, hoping that scale would mean increased market share when and if the market turned. That strategy may have been vindicated in the second quarter.
