Danske bank listed its €35bn (US$39.6bn) EMTN bond programme on the Tokyo Pro-bond market on May 13. The listing will allow the Danish lender to sell Pro-bonds until May 15 2017. Barclays is lead manager. The Pro-bond market allows borrowers to place paper with institutional investors, one of its main advantages being that documentation can be in English - unlike the Samurai market, where it has to be in Japanese. It also allows the use of Japanese, international or US accounting standards.
