Cades (Caisse Amortissement de la Dette Sociale) was among the latest SSAR borrowers to access the sterling market, with volume from the sector now over half the level printed in the currency in the whole of 2015. Cades priced a £500m 1% March 2019 bond at 58bp over the 4.5% March 2019 Gilt, in line with IPTsand guidance. JP Morgan, Nomura and RBS ran the trade. Kommunekredit also came to the market, with a £100m tap of its 1.125% December 2018s via Citigroup and RBC, meaning there has now been £8.85bn of sterling SSAR issuance year-to-date, according to IFR data. That compares with £17.555bn in the whole of 2015.
