SSA market participants were left reflecting on market practices in the sector after IFR revealed last week that the US Department of Justice was investigating at least four traders for possible manipulation of public sector bond prices. The inquiry is into allegations that the traders agreed prices and shared information on certain US dollar bonds in chat rooms they established for the purpose, according to several sources. The DoJ declined to comment.
