Singapore's DBS profit slumps on rising provisions

Dbs croup holdings took a hit on its earnings last quarter after raising net provisions in an attempt to cure its bad loan problems once and for all. The bank reported a 23% drop in quarterly pre-tax profit to S$822m, a five-year low and well below the expected S$l .lbn.
