Eyewear retailer silmaasema has priced its Helsinki IPO at €6.90 per share, valuing the company at €98.32m. The company placed 5.1m new shares alongside a sale of 3.1m existing shares by private equity firm Intera. Silmaasema will issue 265,935 new shares to the members of the board of directors and employees at a discounted price of €6.21 per share. The selling shareholder is providing 1.23m shares for a greenshoe. The free-float on admittance will be 57.54%, increasing to around 66% if the greenshoe is exercised in full. Silmaasema has 148 stores in Finland and eight in Estonia. The business had net sales of €101.3m in 2016, up 8.6% from 2015, and adjusted Ebitda of €12m. The shares closed at €7.60 on Friday for a first-day gain of 10.15%.
