Sea move drains SGX pipeline

Sea, formerly known as Garena, has chosen to list in the US through a US$1bn IPO, adding to doubts over the Singapore Exchange's efforts to attract home-grown technology companies. The South-East Asian e-commerce company recently filed confidentially for an IPO with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The float is unlikely to be launched before early next year as the company has just raised US$550m from a group of investors.
